Premiere of PBS Doc "The First Battle"



Tom Coffman's "The First Battle" is premiering on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at the Hawaii Theatre. The film is a one-hour PBS documentary about the little known behind-the-scenes battle waged by Japanese Americans in Hawaii just before, and in the early years of WWII. These individuals struggled with the U.S. government to prevent mass internment of Japanese Americans and to secure their right to bear arms while fighting for the U.S. Be a good citizen and watch this film:

Where: Doors open 6pm, film starts 7pm, discussion/reception to follow
Cost: $10 (includes $2 fee that will go toward restoring Hawaii Theatre)
